KOAASHOW 2009, hosted by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Gyeonggi Provincial Government, finalized its three-day exhibition on November 21st.
Global automotive-related companies from 47 countries, such as Ford, BMW, PSA, Delphi, TRW, Magna, etc., dispatched their purchasing managers to KOAASHOW 2009 and participated in about 2,400 business meetings during the exhibition.
In addition, KOAASHOW 2009 organized an EV (Electric Vehicle) section for the first time, and it attracted many foreign and domestic buyers, reflecting the current world trend toward more energy efficient vehicles.
According to AIN Global, the organizer of KOAASHOW, the number of visitors increased significantly this year, almost 5,000 more visitors compared to the previous year, and there were slightly more exhibitors this year, despite the ongoing global recession. The expected bargain volume is approximately $580 million.
These statistics strongly suggest that KOAASHOW 2009 was a success, hopefully providing some much needed energy into the world automotive import and export markets.
